Mica is a mined mineral, which varies through colors of ruby and green depending on the mine. The binders are shellac, which results in our amber and dark amber colors, and clear alkyd, which produces our pewter color. Naturally occurring stains are common and are caused by foreign material in the crystals when formed millions of years ago.
Our mica shades are made to complement lamps and fixtures of your selection. Available in three colors: amber, dark amber and pewter. Patterned sections are cut, formed and fabricated to a welded steel frame. They are then finished with woven rayon trims of various colors. Each shade is individually hand crafted. Due to the natural mineral qualities of mica and the binders used there are not two shades alike.
